Digital Twins & Interactive 3D
Bringing Real-World Environments to Life
Transform physical spaces, buildings, and industrial processes into interactive 3D experiences. As a Digital Twin Development Company in Greece, Fourthedesign creates immersive digital twins, real-time 3D simulations, browser-based applications, and photorealistic Gaussian Splatting experiences that help businesses visualize, explore, and train.
Digital Twins & Interactive 3D
Fourthedesign is a Digital Twin Development Company in Greece specialising in interactive 3D, spatial digital twin applications and immersive visualisation. We transform real environments, buildings and industrial processes into intuitive experiences for exploration, training and informed decisions. Our solutions run on the web, in VR and on custom interactive platforms.
From an interactive digital representation to a browser-based property explorer or industrial simulator, we build the visual experience around the purpose of your project.
Industrial Digital Twins & VR Training
Our industrial digital twin visualisation and VR training solutions bring processes, equipment and safety procedures into interactive simulated environments. In C-MineTech, part of the EIT RawMaterials ecosystem, Fourthedesign develops immersive learning scenarios for circular-economy and industrial workflows. Teams can practise tasks and explore technical procedures without relying solely on live equipment.
Experience the property before the visit. Immersive VR real estate tours help clients walk through rooms, understand proportions and explore layouts. A spatial digital twin can add building and unit information to that same 3D experience.
A spatial twin may use structured asset information without needing continuous IoT updates. Live integrations are designed separately when required.
The approach is suited to real estate developments, architectural presentations and spatial applications that need broad access.
VR Real Estate Tours & Spatial Digital Twins
VR brings a property to life. A spatial digital twin adds useful context. We create immersive real estate tours and interactive 3D representations that let buyers explore interiors, understand scale and navigate buildings or developments before visiting.
Selectable units, floor plans and property details can be linked to the 3D environment, turning a visual tour into a practical presentation and decision-support tool.
Web-Based Digital Twins & ENIGMA
Digital twins and interactive 3D spaces do not always require dedicated hardware. We create browser-based Web 3D platforms that let users move through developments and inspect relevant information. ENIGMA is our interactive property explorer, combining real-time 3D masterplans, building navigation and structured property information within the browser.
WEB 3D · REALITY CAPTURE
From Capture to Interactive 3D
We combine 3D reconstruction, realistic environments and intuitive navigation to create interactive experiences. Gaussian Splatting prioritises visual detail, while precise geometry can be provided through photogrammetry or CAD/BIM when required.
For another application of Web 3D, discover ENIGMA — our browser-based real estate platform for exploring developments, buildings and individual properties.
Simulation, 3D Data & Visual Interfaces
A useful digital twin is more than a photorealistic 3D model. We add interactions, simulation logic, contextual data and clear user interfaces so users can understand relationships between assets and processes.
Where projects require IoT sensors, operational dashboards, GIS or live data, we evaluate the required architecture and system integrations instead of assuming they are present.
EUROSATORY 2026
For EFA Group & SCYTALYS, Fourthedesign developed an interactive real-time 3D presentation of defence technologies and operational scenarios.
Visitors explored the experience using an Android tablet linked to a large screen.
3D Gaussian Splatting & Reality Capture
Fourthedesign uses 3D Gaussian Splatting to create photorealistic spatial experiences from image-based capture. Multiple overlapping photographs are processed into a scene that can be viewed from different camera positions. It is especially useful for visually exploring real places, architecture and cultural heritage through interactive Web 3D experiences.
A real example is our 3D Gaussian Splatting & VR project for four historic monasteries in Crete. Using drone footage from the monasteries of Apezanon, Odigitria, Varsamonero and Vrontisi, we created four photorealistic spatial reconstructions and integrated them into an interactive Unity VR experience. The project demonstrates image-based reality capture for cultural heritage and virtual exploration, rather than a sensor-connected operational digital twin.
Digital Twin & Gaussian Splatting FAQs
What is the difference between a digital twin and a 3D model?
A 3D model represents appearance and shape. A digital twin connects a digital representation to a real asset or process for a defined use, often adding structured information, interactive behaviour or live operational data.
What is 3D Gaussian Splatting used for?
Gaussian Splatting converts image-based captures into photorealistic, navigable 3D scenes. It is useful for cultural heritage, architecture, visual documentation and web-based exploration. It does not automatically provide engineering-grade geometry.
Can a Gaussian Splatting scan become an interactive Web 3D experience?
Yes. We can develop a viewer with viewpoints, navigation and contextual information, subject to capture quality, browser compatibility and performance requirements.
Does a spatial digital twin need live sensors?
Not always. Visualisation and training can work with existing 3D and asset data. Live operational twins require suitable sensors and system integrations.
